Relief for Georgia's Families

Mercy Corps is taking the lead in the distribution of 100,000 metric tons of food — focused on children, the elderly and the extremely poor — to address food shortages and quell rampant hunger in North Korea.

Mercy Corps is awarded a $2.7 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to advance its food crisis response efforts in five target countries that have been dramatically impacted by rising food costs.

In one of the world's most troubled countries, Mercy Corps is sustaining Darfuris displaced by the conflict while strengthening the fragile peace in the places considered most critical to lasting tranquility.
